DAN Instructors Trainers are scuba diving educators who want to teach safety programs to instructors. To become a DAN Instructor Trainer, you must participate in a DAN Instructor Trainer Workshop (ITW).

• The ITW follows a modular format. There is a Core Module and then a separate module representing each training program. You can take all nine modules as part of one course, or just take the Core Module (done online before arrival, or can be scheduled face to face for an additional cost and two hours of class time) and one course module - whatever you are interested in teaching. Later, as long as you remain a current and active DAN Instructor Trainer, you can take additional modules without retaking the Core Module.

Prerequisites for DAN Instructor Trainer Workshop:
1. DAN Member
2. Current DAN Oxygen First Aid for SCUBA Diving Injuries Provider or current DAN INSTRUCTOR
3. Active scuba diving instructor trainer OR Be an assistant SCUBA Instructor Trainer, qualified to independently conduct portions of a dive instructor trainer course with a SCUBA trainer
4. AND be a DAN Diving Emergency Specialist Instructor
5. Current CPR Instructor (We can train you)
6. Documentation of First Aid training

The Professional Divers course is limited to those who dive as a profession, like police, scientist, aquarists and research professionals.  You must have an affiliation in order to take this Instructor Trainer Course and you may only teach to those with an affiliation.  The course includes Bloodborne Pathogens, CPR, AED, Choking, First Aid, Scuba Oxygen, Shock Management, Hazardous Marine Life Injuries and Emergency Moves.  Designed to meet agency requirements for Professional Diver Certifications with one certification card.
 
One day classroom time.

• DAN Aquatics Oxygen First Aid Instructor Trainer -   $300.00
 
The Industry recognized DAN Oxygen Program has been redone to focus on Aquatic scenarios outside of scuba diving to include recreational pools and health clubs.

On all courses a 33% nonrefundable deposit or $100 whichever is higher is required. If a valid reason prevents the student from attending the course this fee will be applied to a future course date.
