Captain Larry V. Zettwoch

DAN Examiner, EFR Instructor Trainer, MEDIC FIRST AID Master, PADI Master Instructor

Larry’s interest in water related activities goes back to Wyandotte Public Swimming pool in south Louisville, Kentucky. He started swimming lessons at six and was lifeguarding from age 16 on. While in graduate school earning a Masters Degree in Education and a Juris Doctor, he taught swimming at the college level and during the summer he ran swimming pools for motels and private clubs. As a flying member (RF-101 and RF-4) of the Kentucky Air National Guard he taught Life Support Courses that included land and water survival. His shop earned the “Best in Air Force” distinction. He retired a Colonel after 31 years of service. When his daughter, Allison, wanted to learn SCUBA the whole family was certified in the late 1980’s in Louisville. He became a PADI instructor in 1989 in the Florida Keys, and eventually worked his way up to PADI Master Instructor. He began teaching DAN O2 in 1991 and was one of the first Instructor Trainers in the nation. He has taught DAN Instructor courses from Cozumel to United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, to Slippery Rock, PA, to Community College of the Keys in Key West over the years. He became a DAN Examiner in 2006 and can now certify DAN Instructor Trainers. He is also an Emergency First Response (EFR) Instructor Trainer. He became a Medic First Aid Instructor in 1990 and is now a Master. Larry has been involved in boating since 1986 and is a licensed Coast Guard Captain. His diving and boating is mainly in the Gulf of Mexico and Florida Keys.

Allison Zettwoch

DAN Instructor Trainer, DAN DES Instructor, EFR Instructor, MEDIC FIRST AID Instructor, PADI Open Water Instructor

Allison has been around the water all her life. She started with swimming lessons at the local YMCA, then at age 8 began SCUBA diving with her parents. Allison has more than 15 years teaching experience, she taught swimming lessons for the Red Cross at 14, and at 16 swimming, boating and lifeguarding through the Boy Scouts of America. In 2002 she was honored to teach at the Boy Scouts of America National Camp School. She is a DAN Instructor Trainer, DAN DES Instructor, an EFR Instructor, a PADI Instructor, and a high school Spanish and art teacher. Allison earned a Bachelors degree in Studio Art from the University of Kentucky, and a Masters Degree in Spanish from the University of Louisville. In 2011 she earned a PharmD from Sullican University College of Pharmacy and currently works as a pharmacist in the Floriday Keys. Allison has also hiked more than 1400 miles on the Appalachian Trail, and sailed across the Atlantic from the Azores to Ireland.

Danny R. Donegan, Jr.

Danny was first certified as a scuba instructor in October of 2000. His traveling ways have allowed him to garner knowledge from some of the legends of diving to include: Tom Mount, Richie Kohler, Dick Rutkowski, Dr. Morgan Wells, Dr. Richard Pyle, Dr. J.L. Earle and the late Ralph Erikson. Danny has completed training dives from recreational to technical while focusing on wrecks and what's inside those dark holes. While training in diving and dive medicine Danny has managed to accumulate over 200 Instructor and Instructor Trainer level certifications through various agencies. He attended Kemper Military College and received an Associate of Arts in Military Studies. At Georgia State University he was awarded a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accountancy while also studying Political Science and Economics. At Keller Graduate School of Management he completed a Master of Accounting and Financial Management with an emphasis on Business Law and Corporate Finance. In the corporate world Danny has been a trainer on various financial analysis software programs and reporting practices for governmental compliance programs. In the military Danny completed many technical schools and was assigned to a Long Range Surveillance Unit for the bulk of his service. Jumping out of helicopters became a favorite activity while in the unit. He was also a qualified military trainer and taught classes from personnel to satellite encrypted radio communication systems. A native of Kennebunkport, Maine, Danny divides his time between financial consulting in the corporate world and traveling to teach technical diver and all levels of Instructor Ratings for ASHI, CPROX, DAN, IANTD, MEDIC, SDI and TDI.
